This font by Jenny Kyvik Hutchens came about as a school project. It was designed entirely of elastic bands.
CGI + Sketch = Paperman

This short is a bit different from what we would typically post, but when I watched it I knew it just had to be shared.
This Disney short film, directed by John Kahrs is really the first of its kind. By using a new technology that allows animators to draw over top of CGI, ‘Paperman’
creates a blurred line between classic, drawn Disney animation & the digital animation we see most often today.
“Paperman” is nominated for Best Animated Short Film at this year’s Oscars.
Live.Love.Laugh

We have all seen ‘Live, Love, Laugh’ on everything from wall decals to photo frames to mugs. You could say that up until now, there where two types of people – those who have one of those decals in their living room & those who don’t.
This ‘Live, Love, Laugh’ initiative by Franse Saritika may change all that – a series of three phrases.

Karloff = Beauty + Ugliness

Karloff is a new typeface by Peter Bilak. It is a self-proclaimed combination of ‘high contrast Modern type of Bodoni and Didot with the monstrous Italians.’
There was a lot of thought & planning behind this typeface. You can read about Bilak’s thoughts behind the design and see sketches of it here.
The video, we think, is quite brilliant, too.
The iPhone 5 – We Want To Know What You Think!

One week on the market plus over 5 million units sold over the weekend alone – the iPhone 5 made its debut week in typical Apple fashion.
The following video via Apple is an intro to the new smartphone – you know, in case you didn’t already know what it’s all about yet.
