Tip: Better font previews in Photoshop

Photoshop feature allows resizable font previews in font menu.

By default the font menu in Photoshop CS2 and higher includes small previews of each font. This is useful because it allows you to see a font before you select it, which saves a lot of time when you have a font menu loaded with tons of fonts. The only downnside is that the previews are often too small to be very helpful – particularly with script fonts and dingbats.

Of course, this is nothing new, but you may not know that the font preview sizes are adjustable.

Here’s how

In the Photoshop > Preferences > Type… window you can select a larger preview size:

This option creates great font previews that are a lot more useful:
