It’s Typeface Tuesday on a Wednesday! This short documentary was too good to save for next week, so here it is a little early – or late? Ryman Eco was designed specifically to reduce the environmental impact of printing. You can also download it for free at their website here.

“Strukture is a typeface design best used as a display font in a medium to large size; suitable for posters and headings.
Each letter is designed with a simplified form, contrasting solid shapes to light line formations, giving the typeface a structural quality.”
Telefon is based on lettering from original Norwegian phone booths. You can see in the first photo the original design by architect Georg Fredrik Fasting on the top, and the typeface by Sindre Bremnes for Monokrom just underneath.

“This project reflects La Bolduc’s influence on the contemporary music 70 years after her death. The typography and logo were created from form of three different colors, each represents a big step of Bolduc’s life. The overlay of the three colors shows the cultural gift she yield to future Quebec artists.”

There are quite a few ‘best of’ lists floating around already – this is just one of them, but its definitely worth a look. There is no ‘no. 1’ font on this list, & we actually like it that way. You can find it here, via thenextweb.com.
