2010 Fantastic Font Film Contest

The 2010 Fantastic Font Film Contest, co-sponsored by Adobe, Extensis, and FontGear, begins today with a call for entries to all creative video and film producers, including students and hobbyists.

The winning videos will be focused on the creative and obvious use of typographic concepts, subjects, themes, storylines, but is not limited to the use of fonts as a thematic element.

A jury of industry professionals will award a First place $1000.00 prize, Second place $500.00, and Third place $250.00 for the best font-related video submitted.

Jury members bring a wealth of experience and insight from respected industry leaders including Adobe, Pixar Animation Studios, Extensis, and MicroExplosion Media.

Participants are encouraged to submit up to two videos for consideration, and there is no fee to enter.

The contest runs from June 14, 2010 to September 30, 2010.

Winners will be announced on October 11, 2010.
